Starter Package & Care Plan
A fixed-price entry tier for simple, stateless business websites—positioned below the custom work that is OA Systems' primary offering. Everything on this page applies to the Starter tier only.
Starter Package

What's included
- Stateless website, up to 5 pages (e.g. Home, About, Services, Contact, one additional page of the client's choosing)
- Built from one of the six existing design registers: Minimal, Maximalist, Corporate, Playful, Editorial, or Terminal Noir — client's brand colors, logo, copy, and images applied to the chosen register
- Mobile-responsive layout, semantic HTML, basic on-page SEO (meta tags, sensible load times)
- Static contact methods only (mailto: / tel: links) — no backend form processing
- Delivered as production-ready code, deployed to a host of the client's choosing
Explicitly excluded
Any of the following disqualify a project from Starter pricing and route to a custom quote:
- Custom design outside the six existing registers
- Contact forms that submit or store data
- Booking/scheduling systems
- CMS or client-editable backend
- E-commerce or payment processing
- Multi-language support
- Any third-party integration (analytics beyond basic, CRM, email marketing, etc.)
- Any feature requiring a database or server-side logic
- Timeline
- 5–7 business days from receipt of complete content (copy, images, logo).
- Payment
- Full $299 due upfront, before build begins. Single invoice — no partial billing at this price point.
- Revisions
- One round of revisions included, limited to swapping colors, copy, or images within the chosen design register. Requests to change layout, structure, or switch design registers are treated as a scope change and quoted separately.
- Abandonment policy
- If the client has not submitted content within 30 days of payment, the project is considered abandoned and the $299 is forfeited. No partial refund, no credit carried forward. This is stated in the invoice/agreement at time of payment so it is never a surprise.
- Hosting & domain
- Not included — the client is responsible for both. OA Systems will provide a short handoff note recommending a free static host (Netlify or Vercel) and a domain registrar (e.g. Namecheap, Google Domains), but does not manage, pay for, or provide ongoing support for hosting/domain accounts.
Care Plan

What's included
- 3 simple updates per month
- Updates do not roll over — the count resets each billing cycle regardless of usage
- Turnaround: 2 business days per request
Definition of a "simple update"
Only the following qualify under the Care Plan:
- Swap or edit text copy
- Swap an image
- Update contact info, hours, or links
- Fix a typo or broken link
Anything not on this list — a new section or page, a layout or color scheme change, adding a form, or anything requiring a database or backend — is out of scope for the Care Plan and is quoted as a separate, custom request, same as post-launch work for a non-subscriber.
Billing & cancellation
Billed monthly starting at launch. Cancel anytime; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing cycle (no partial-month refund).
Opting out of the Care Plan
The Care Plan is optional. Clients who opt out (or cancel later) can still request updates on an ad hoc basis:
- $45 flat fee per update request, covering any number of qualifying "simple update" changes bundled into a single request
- +$25 rush surcharge for same-day turnaround
The Care Plan works out to roughly $5/update at full usage. A $45 ad hoc rate keeps the subscription the clearly better deal for any client who'll need more than one change a year, while remaining fair for a genuine one-off request.
Requests that don't qualify as "simple updates" (see above) are scoped and quoted individually regardless of Care Plan status.
Outside the Starter Package
Custom work requires a consultation
Anything outside the boundaries defined for the Starter Package is out of scope for this tier and routes to a standard consultation, priced on complexity per our normal engagement model.
This includes — but is not limited to — projects involving:
- Custom design outside the six design registers
- Contact forms, booking systems, or CMS
- E-commerce, payment processing, or integrations
- Backend logic, databases, or multi-language support
